Thought maybe we could have a thread just for the P. grandis polyps we find. Always have been one of my favorites, so I'll start with a couple pics.

The first set of P.Grandis are amazing. I love these things but never have had any luck with them. Mine never opened up fully.

I've had the same trouble in the past, but after talking with Larry, seems I was simply getting too much light on them. I though I had them pretty dim, but as soon as I got them as far from the bulb as possible, they opened right up.

I also have some in low flow, and some in more moderate flow. The ones pictured are the low flow spot....the moderate flow ones don't seem near as happy....yet :)

I have been seeing a few come in lately at my lfs, but they are always completely brown, unlike these.

Thanks guys, I'm definitely going to try and culture those greens for sure. Hopefully I can get them to hold the color as well.

Hey Dad, I have a mommy polyp and two babies. Maybe we can get together sometime and trade a polyp or two.

:D
