I been setting up my Maxi Master and a Maxi Slave.

I am running GCC 1.1.1.1 and I have the latest 1.28 firmware on the master.

When the Maxi Master is not connected I do not receive the PABCOM Error.

If I set the unit to be a Slave, connect it, and powerdown the unit for any reason I get a PABCOM Error.

As soon I reboot the master it goes away, just wondering if anyone else as seen this or should I be worried about it?

I have it off a PowerBar, I even moved it to right off the P4 same error.

Anytime the system looses an assigned PAB device, you will see a PAB error. This is to inform you that a device in your control plane has disappeared, and there is a possibility of issues with your system.

Marco,

I never received this before, for example I just rebooted my expansion box and did not get a PABCOM error. Is it only when a mater device looses connection?

Essentially your Maxi Standalone is in slave mode. For all intensive purposes it’s a slave, otherwise you could not assign it to the system.
I haven’t tested the EXP2 system dropping, I can see if I can replicate later this evening..
Can you screenshot a picture of your system tab?

I just set up a slave doser in between 2 of my powerbars. If I shut off the doser or the outlet the doser is on, I get the PABCOM error. I have the doser on a controllable outlet, but currently have the outlet set to "always on". I was hoping I could shut down the doser if need be and the rest of the system/powerbars continue working like normal. Not sure if we can right now with this error?

I had tried to set the doser power outlet to "doser" just to see what that does (I'm not sure what it does), but the doser was powered off and PABCOM error alerted.

Edit - I plan to set up my dosers, kh director, and touch all on one PAB line from the P4 and then all my powerbars off the other. I need a couple different PAB cables to do it, but I'm not sure it makes a difference the order anyways?

If you drop power to a PAB device in the chain, anything behind it will loose PAB connectivity.

So: P4 - pb5.1-1 - pb5.1-2 - Doser - pb5.1-3
If you turn off the Doser, pb5.1-3 will no longer be controllable.

That makes sense! That will help me decide what order to put everything in for sure.

Sorry @Ditto for going somewhat off topic on your thread here. o_O
