Padding between tank and stand.

I have a stand that will have 1/2" HDPE top. Would you use anything on top of it? The tank is 120"x48"x30" acrylic.

Typically, if a tank has a plastic rim around it, like a typical, standard, rimmed tank, you don't need anything under it.

If your tank does not have a plastic rim, like modern rimless tanks, then it's usually advised to have a mat under the tank, something like what @TX_REEF linked above.

Id recommend any type of Neoprene Rubber Sheet (1/8" to 1/4" thick)
This provides slight cushioning and grip, durable and water-resistant, and won’t compress unevenly over time

definitely, just buy the sizes that require the least cutting to get the coverage you need, they have adhesive backing to attach to the stand.
