Ever since i got my one spot fox face its yellow color is very pale compared to most of the ones I've seen that are deep yellow. it seems to be healthy and active but i want to try to get that deep rich yellow everyone else has. so far he has been eating nori, live algae and i feed mysis and spiraling infused brine. I'm stumped. all my parameters are perfect as well. Alk 8.5, cal 400, mag 1380 ,ph 8.1, phosphate .03 ,nitrate .50 and potassium 400.

how long have you had him? most species of foxface fish will go through a "mottled" coloration during their introduction phase in your DT.

im also aware of his spotted gray appearance when he sleeps or when he is startled. That's not the color I'm speaking of. His yellow color is just lite and pale instead of dark and robust
