    Yes, we tend to call all larger zoanthids "palys" as a way of differentiating their size. It's a hobby term.

    My tank is still dry, but these are amazing corals. Are these the ones that require special handling due to the toxins?

    Always a good idea to treat any zoa/paly/polyp like it could poison you. Gloves and glasses/goggles/face shield when fragging.
