Those lights will not support a clam on the 125 unfortunately.
I'd be reluctant to use them honestly, there not powerful at all. I'd get a par meter on the 40 gallon to see what your looking at.Not even side by side on my 40g?

BeautifulYears ago when I saw a tridacna I knew it was my favorite reef animal. Squamosa has always grabbed my attention with there wild mantles and large shutes. They get more impressive as they grow. Here's a pic of a squamosa we had grown from 3" to over 12". It's not a reef tank without a tridacna
