Hi all,

Anyone have a PAR meter I can borrow or rent? Just can’t justify buying one for a one time use.

Alternatively, if no one here can help me out, have any suggestions on how to get ahold of one?

Thanks!

A lux meter app is good for a lot of things. I've heard of but haven't tested PAR meter apps....they should be similarly useful if they work with the phone you have.

A handheld lux meter is way better, can be calibrated (for your lights) with a PAR meter, and is very cheap.

All that said, a real recommendation depends on what you want to use it for. The above options **can** be used underwater strategically, but there are better suited options if you're going for hardcore underwater measurements vs just using for lighting setup (which can be done at/above the water line).

Otherwise most online retailers and LFS's seem to carry them these days....sometimes even for rent, but you'd have to check your local stores directly.
