Hey! I've had my bio cube 29 for a little over a month, I've got a media basket, fuge, both by intank, stock lights, maxspect gyre for nano tanks, cobalt heater, stock pump.

I wanted to get a protein skimmer and I bought the Aqua C remora nano skimmer. but I think I need to take my hood off to accommodate it, if I'm not mistaken, and I haven't bought my new lights yet (getting a kessil with a clamp), so, my question is, does anyone know of one I can use in chamber 1, or in place of my fuge in chamber 2?

Thanks :)

Tunze 9002 is what I've been using. Fits great with the I tank media basket. Slight modification may be needed but I love it. Highly recommend it for the price. Easy to use and set up. Just make sure you wash all the parts in hot water to help speed up the break in period.

I run the ghost skimmer in my fusion 30l. Not sure the dimensions of your chambers, but I'm very pleased with the ghost. I had the Tunze 9002 for a few weeks before the ghost, happy with the change.

I used the Aquaticlife 115 in my BC29. I added the airline mod, added a magnet mount, and was able to fit it into chamber 1 easily.

Welcome to the forum! Theres a couple that fit into the back of a biocube. IM ghost, tunze will be your best option. I have a 29biocube and dont run any skimmer. I did when i first started the tank, but honestly didnt make a difference if i ran one or not, other then having to clean it. The tunze 9002^^ is prob the best youll get for the middle chamber. Once again welcome, post a build thread > https://www.reef2reef.com/forums/member-tanks.52/ <

hey thanks! :) Do you think I even need to run one?

If you're going to have sensitive corals, yes you should have a PS. I also use the Tunze 9001 on my IM20 frag tank. It does pretty good and not overly expensive

Well, its good to have because if you were to ever get a contaminant in your tank, the skimmer will pull that junk right out. Do you absolutley need one, of corse not lol. But, its the best piece of equipment anyone can run nomatter the size of your tank. I go through a box of salt on my 2 tanks every month so its easyer for me to just bust out a 10g change weekly/every other week on my 29.
