Just checking on these numbers.

Water change yesterday (4/20)
Test parameters today 4/21.

All these with Salifert kits...

pH - 7.8
NO3 - 2
Ca - 450
Mg - 1380
Alk - 7.7 - 8.0 fell between 2 #'s on chart

Are pH and Alk to low? Need to get a better phosphate kit. Using API which shows 0.

Thanks

This was an upgrade from a smaller tank so overall going on a year.

Using Fritz. Water change 20 gallons weekly so roughly 18-20% on a reefer 450.

ok, those numbers are fine. the PH could come up, what time of day did you test it? dont use a buffer btw.
folks run many different alks. 7 to 12. so 8 is fine..

Ok thanks. I tested this afternoon after work around 5pm
that is a bit odd. a lot of times its higher after the lights have been on a while. Might be co2 in the house too if its still cold there.

Florida 90deg. But house is steady at 75-76 with air on so maybe that has something to do with it.

Just bought some Kaltwasser but have never used it so have to read up on how to start it.

Bug?

I was trying bubble method just this past week but haven't noticed anything positive. Not sure if pump is strong enough. I have a post on the reefer thread about which model I was trying.

Lol. Big.

Mix as directed. I use 100ml in 2.5 ato.
You should check your dosing Sched and alk/cal
