Hello everyone
I have been reefing for quite a while now, I don’t even test parameters much anymore. I can see when my corals are happy or unhappy. I do run some tests every 6-12 months. I just transferred into a new tank about a month ago, and I do a water change monthly or so. I decided to do some tests before my first water change, and wanted some input on what you all think I should do. Should I increase water changes, or start dosing again? My calcium is pretty high (new sand maybe?) and alkalinity and magnesium seem low. Nutrients are low which is surprising to me.
I have literal square footage of gsp, and a giant Duncan colony I grew from 3 heads. 4 small fish. No skimmer (which now I know to hold off on getting another one for a bit). Feed frozen daily mainly for my wrasse
Also I use reef crystals salt, tank volume is about 55gal. Live rock is about 15 years old. Here are my parameters:
Po4 - .25 - salifert test
No3 - 0 - Red Sea test
Calcium - a little over 500 - salifert test
Kh - 5.4-5.7 - salifert test
Magnesium - 1100 - Red Sea test
