Now, I just confirmed that I'm not going to get my money from Paypal. Paypal already closed the case and reversed money back to the buyer's account. What step can I take to get my money back? By the way, the scammer is reefkuku, the same person as AtlantaReef.

I certainly hope someone has an answer to that question -- and one that can actually put the money back in your pocket. It's kind of scary that the tables seem to have turned recently when it comes to scamming... I've seen many more issues with buyers getting scammed by sellers (and have personally always been more leary of that), but now sellers seem to be getting scammed more frequently by buyers. Pretty disheartening, if you ask me.

This happened to me about a year and half ago from ebay transactions. I sent to verified addresses also. I got some of the money out before Paypal froze it. They reversed about 3 other transactions and put my account in the negative. I even had delivery confirmation but Paypal still kept my account in the negative. I have not used Paypal since.

Paypal itself is a scam. I shipped an item and the liar signed for it . said he got a tampered box with item missing after he signed for it. It wasn't insured and I was out 500 bucks because Pay=Pal took money back even with tracking # and signature claiming it was my responcibility to insure it.Pay-Pal would not even make him send me back the so called tamperd box he signed for. Fraud all the way and I lost out.I hate Pay-Pal and E-bay They are tied together in a money game.

From this fraud transaction, I gathered some tips for all seller for your future transactions.

1. pay attention to your buyers with recent register and no or a few posts
2. make sure to check your paypal again right before ship out your stuffs
3. make sure to ship to paypal confirmed address
4. If the buyer ask you to ship right away, that might be a red flag to you
5. make sure to have the buyer to sign for the package

Always pay via credit card through Paypal. Credit cards have WAY MORE Security than the tards at Paypal. We always use our AMX for transaction through Paypal. WE have gotten 100% refunds when we have filed for disputes through the credit card company.

Sorry to hear what happened. I also got scammed twice couple of years ago using ebay/paypal. Both times are computer parts for work, the first time was a 5 figure transaction to someone in CA, we received a box of heatsinks instead of processors. Luckily, I have some friends in that area and got our money back minus the collection fees. The 2nd time we are not so lucky, bought off ebay and paid using paypal to seller in Hungary, never received the items and paypal only refunded $1500 of the transaction, as they said that's the limit they cover. We ended up losing about $3000+ on that transaction.
