Thought I’d see if any of you all are into PC’s. I’ve gotten into them recently and I’ve been saving up for one, but haven’t quite gotten there yet. If you’ve got one, let’s see it!

Are you building one or buying a prebuilt or a used? What are we thinking. I’ve got a laptop now but I used to with my friends build them and go all out. Gotta get some money and buy parts for one eventually.

I was planning to build one myself. I’ve never seen a prebuilt that isn’t overpriced. Ive gotta wait until I can find a gpu either way though. I was thinking about trying to grab one from the amd drop Wednesday.

Its all about building around your GPU. I predict in a few years all high performing GPUs will be external and the PC industry will follow Apple and their M1 designs for everything else . The days of being able to pick and choose CPUs are numbered.

With the entry point of new games being so steep from a skill standpoint I find it just as refreshing to watch streamers.

Horrible time to build a PC, though that has been the case for the last couple of years. Prices are absurd and many things are impossible to find. I've been trying to find a logitech wireless charging mouse pad for almost 6 months now at the normal price. Not willing to pay double the MSRP.

My current rig is a AMD 5900x with PCIe gen 4x4 NVMe. and 2080 Super. I'll probably not upgrade the video card until they come back down to their normal prices but that may not happen anytime soon. May just have to stay a generation or 2 behind there as long as overpriced crypto is around.

My build is in a completely enclosed metal case. I'm going to tick off 99% of the builders but I hate the led look and thank it looks gaudy. Plus it has added even more cost to a lot of the PC components.
