Bought this a few months back as a "Peace" coral. I do not know much about Favias and just wanted to see what you think. Thanks.

Definately NOT peace coral.

Nice, but not peace. Thats commonly known as Christmas favia.

peace is green base, with BRIGHT purple mouths.

the reeffarmers pic is terrible.

I could be wrong, but thats my opinion anyways.

Thanks. Looks like there are several "variations" of this. Mine looks similar to a few of the PICS.

Thats the one. I see on most of those as beeing a bright purple more than a pink. But thats what it looks like.

thanks for the link hopkins.

better late than never... the Peace coral that I have and have sold/traded has lineage to Raptor.. I don't think it's related to any other big name Peace... a colony of this favia was purchased about 3 years ago and Raptor got half of it... the other half died so Raptor was pretty much the only one that had a frag.. he gave me a piece and waynesreef... IMHO, the version that we have is much nicer and brighter than some of the other versions I've seen.. here's a few pics of the one I have... I know a few big name reefers/online vendors have gotten a hold of a frag of this through either a trade/sale...
