Pearlscale Butterfly + Clam compatibility

I impulse bought a pearlscale, I had plans on buying a Maxima clam in a couple months, do I need to abandon these plans? Any owners have experience with this exact pairing?

Nice fish. Not reef safe, FOWLR only. Apparently "clam" is part of their diet, so I don't think this bodes well...

i've done this matching and it did not go well with the clam...it ate the clam

yeah, every fish is different but i wouldnt risk it as its an expensive dinner

Well, I wasn't going to get a flame angel because of the clam but I guess out with the clam in with the flame angel.
