Glad this thread got revived! I moved this past spring so the aquarium is a bit different but here’s the same colonies from post #13.

The tri color blue/blue/green is lower left. Tri color red/blue/green is to the right below the orange hammer. Quad color, red/green/blue/light blue, sorta blends in just in front of the watermelon chalice. I still have my space invader else where in thr

Quad color- this one I mentioned I had to triage because of RTN from a shipping injury. Fortunately the frags stabilized last year and are putting down a good amount of new tissue.

I’ll add the growth on these guys is different from that of space invader. Taking light, flow, etc into account these colonies seem to put down a more robust skeleton that cups vs the space invader which, in the same aquarium, seems to whirl with fan like projections.

@Pico bam pectinia, outside space invaders, haven’t been named from what I’ve seen. Generally when I hear people discuss them it’s always the number of colors.

Here’s an updated pic. Still have the same 4 from before and added another tri color with yellowish tissue. I’ve seen some other neat ones here and there over the last year but haven’t added any more. I’ve also trimmed these down a few times and now have multiple colonies going.

Will they fight? I’ve seen some say yes and no. Haven’t found a whole lot of info about that.

Yeah I didn’t really know what to expect either. Not a whole lot of people keeping pectinia gardens. That being said I haven’t had issues with them stinging each other.

@littlebigreef do you still have your pectinia collection? I read this thread two years ago and was inspired to build my own pectinia collection.

That’s awesome! Yep, I moved mine into my sps tank last fall. They’re pretty happy. It’s the same ones from before. Space invaders are on the other side. I’d like to add more but I haven’t seen any interesting ones for some time.

Funny enough, I just picked up this Pectinia yesterday - I hadn't heard of Pectinia prior to that. And man, this is an AMAZING coral! I can't stop staring at it.

Keep an eye on it, they have some long sweepers when they're in the mood. Mine stayed in fight mode when I had it in with some large fleshy LPS like lobos and acanthophylia. It had a corner to itself.

A little more peaceful in this tank.

I love the growth pattern on them and that’s why I bought mine a couple of years ago. It just never grew like the ones I see here, I still love it.

Purple with green mouths, new frag into the display

Two rainbows at the top, the bottom one is weird. It has gold streaks and alsorts of colours but just a new addition so lost its colour.

Mostly minty with black bits and a tiny frag of mostly black with bits of mint.

Looking forward to getting the sump ones settled and into the tank!
