So at night, when the lights get low, my dusky jawfish comes out and does this "dance". He'll swim vertically near his burrow, and kind of twitch his tail around. He'll do it for about a minute or so, then go back into his little cave. I only see this behavior at night right before the lights go out (it's on a day/night cycle) and I'm not sure what it means? Any help would be appreciated! :) IMG_20251010_234136923_HDR.jpg

I have a CB yellow headed jawfish for at least a year. I’ve never seen that behavior in mine. Usually I never see the fish at night.

I have two pearly jawfish and the male spends most his time swimming vertically just outside the entrance to the burrow, threatening any fish that get near, it's not a dusk thing, he does it all the time
