I'm planning on getting a new tank, a major upgrade from the 55 gallon second hand tank I bought a year ago to learn the ins and outs. I have an idea and I want to see if its been done before...
Currently, my rocks are just loosely stacked. I have them piled high to get SPS up into the flow and light. My issue is, I'm constantly knocking them over when cleaning the tank, which is, on occasion, borderline catastrophic. I'm wondering, has anyone ever drilled holes into their live rock and sort of pegged them together on the non visible sides between them? I really like the idea of being able to easily pull out rocks for easy pest treatment and fragging. I'm not really sure what to use, maybe just 1/2" pvc pipes cut to maybe 3 or 4 inch sections? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
