Pencil wrasse question

For my 66 gal tank i want differant fish....

So im going to do a pair of picassos, already have my 1 tang, and my 1 yellow coris wrasse.

Would a pair of pencil wrasses be to large for my tank..or fight the coris??

Are these wrasses reef safe?

Hardy?






My other thought was a possum wrasse....

A pair is not a good idea. I have had one and he was a GREAT fish but a heck of a jumper. He knocked my screen lid off the tank and didn't make it. Mine was reef safe as far as I knew.

Possum wrasse would be cool too... I have a pink-streaked pymgy wrasse that is pretty awesome if you are looking for something different.

Possum wrasse would be cool too... I have a pink-streaked pymgy wrasse that is pretty awesome if you are looking for something different.

That's a fairly large fish for that small of a tank. They require a good bit of swimming room and a pair of them zooming around everywhere can really spook some fish. If the tank were larger then I would say go for it but that just isn't a big enough tank, IMHO, to keep a pair of them.

Gotcha, I guess they are bigger and faster than I thought.

pencil wrasses are not very hardy..and are great jumpers...i think a 66 is too small for one much less two plus like i said they don't have agood track record...the posum would be a better fit for your tank
