I’m trying to plan my new build and want to use the pentair smart uv 80 watt sterilizer but all I can find are the dimensions for the length and the diameter which is only somewhat helpful. I’m looking for the dimensions of the input and output parts so I can plan my plumbing. I need to know how far they stick out and how far they sit from each end of the unit. It doesn’t need to be super accurate but at least to the 1/2”.

I emailed the manufacturer but haven’t heard back from them.

How big is your tank? Pentair size their UV sterilizers appropriately, and, maybe oversize them. I would try BRS to see if they have any info that you want as they are a Pentair vendor. I have a 40w Pentair on my 225 gal tank.

(I agree. 80W is big— I have a 40W for a 150 gallon tank.)
The total system size should be about 500 gallons.

You can just add reducers to whatever size you want on inlets and outlets. The things were designed for pools so i think plumbing is large.

I have a 50 watt pentair on my 50 gallon, lol. Makes it easy to match return flow to chiller flow to flow for killing parasites...

In other words, oversizing doesnt hurt (can heat water) and i picked my uv size solely based on the size that matched my return flow... i.e., 250-300 gallons an hour kills parasites at 50 watts, works for my chiller, and is a good flow for my sump/tank/return on a 50 gallon.

My water glows in the dark too! Lol. Jk.

For the 200 gallon, i went with 120 watts.
