Jokes aside, the only hobbyist I know to have had long-term success with a Peppermint is one little-known Japanese guy who’s had his as a lone fish in a dedicated deepwater setup with a chiller. As of 2023, fish has been in captivity for 21 years and counting.

I can show you a video he uploaded when the Peppermint was 17 years in his care, as for how I know it’s still alive, I forgot the source but someone checked on him last year. I don’t know how many tanks he has, how big they are or his full fish collection, but the last time he uploaded he only featured what I assume to be his main tank and that only had a pair of African Flamebacks, a RG, an Azure Damsel and a Mandarin Dragonet.
