Peppermint shrimp and torch

I fed my dragon soul torch and immediately the peppermint shrimp came for a snack. Normally this ain’t a problem but this time I noticed a tentacle break off as the shrimp was eating so aggressively.

They are known to do this. Remove the shrimp. Why they do this, I wish I knew.

Thanks for the suggestion. This was the first time I fed the torch first and only the torch. Normally I feed everything and the shrimp will feed off the ground or something more hardy but good looking out

Try feeding the shrimp first.

Unfortunately once they start, they rarely stop attacking LPS regardless of feeding.

I’ve had peppermints kill a torch in my tank before I’d remove him.
