I have a mated pair of clowns that have lived in konch shells for about 3 years, I have been thinking about getting a anemone. Should I or would it be best to let them stay where they have been? If I do what kind would be best? I have a 50 gallon tank!

You can get one but they will probably stay with the shell. You can "train" them to host with the anemone though.

IMO, I would stick with the shell. I have a mated pair that I trained to leave the frogspawn and go into by RBTA. Having the shell as their home keeps an anemone from roaming throughout your system. I have been lucky enough to have my RBTA stay in a dead horn coral and hasn't left or tried to roam. Even with my RBTA staying in one spot, I still have to keep an area just for the anemone (now 10 inches) away from my corals in my 125!If you do go with a anemone, go with a bubble tip. GL
