I have a clown fish but am in doubt about the species. The black lines are quite strong but the eyes are dark. The fin rays are visible but I'm not sure which count for the first dorsal fin, including the four white ones above the band?
Who can clarify whether this is ocellaris or percula?

looks like ocellaris to me. The black stripes between the white and orange would be thicker in a percula, I believe.

Thanks, most ocellaris I see have narrowed black lines but I guess that that's variable.

your photo does look like the black lines are quite narrow, I'd expect something more like this on a perc:

That's pretty clear indeed, also the eye colour. I want a second one but of the same species. So wanted to be sure but that will be an ocellaris than.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum!
I’m counting 11 dorsal rays, so I’m guessing ocellaris.
The ones on the white stripe count (though this will also depend on morph).
