Hello fellow reefers!
This will be a build thread and reef upgrade with a twist. I will also be utilizing a spare room that will include a remote sump for the Innovative Marine 3ft cube lagoon which will be in the family room.
Here's a FTS of my current tank, all corals and rock will be moved over to the new tank, and this one brought down.

The new tank and black aluminum stand should be here this week, so I am scrambling, lol. 36x36x20"

Here's the spot where the tank will go, and the hole drilled through the wall to my reef room.

Here's the room once it was emptied out. Pardon the mess, but eventually everything will be aestecitally pleasing. I will also design the other parts of the room as a sanctuary to relax and will be adding several plants to room.

I ordered a 75 gallon plastic rv water reservoir off Amazon, and began to plumb, here's the filtration zone. Plumbing complete, and now ready for a quick install, fire it up ;)

Again, messy room, but it will clean up in time :) to the left of the sump, I will be adding a 50 gallon Rubbermaid tub for coral grow outs and frags. Down the road, if necessary, I can always add another tub. More to come on the later, I will be adding that to the build as well.

Edit: the water reservoir was solid, so I cut out with a jig saw to make the euro rim design. No baffles, I will fill the sump with rock, they will serve as a baffling system.

Nice! Excited to follow along, I'm sure it'll be beautiful.

Thank you!
No complaints with Innovative Marine, they were a pleasure to deal with. I didn't get a call from the shipper, so the tank was delivered today, I made it happen, but fortunately I was off work early and home. Nothing like doing this in a complete Florida spring downpour, lol. My neighbor helped out :) thankfully...

Great to see the progress Perry. Give me a shout when you need a hand with something.

Best

Thanks Nate!!!
I am enjoying the challenge of all the DIY stuff, really excited to get this lagoon cube. Circa 2006, yeah you remember the 70 gall9n Zeovit cube, and came by and picked up that 40 gallon 1" acrylic cube, that one was a beast. Over the years I have dreamed of another larger cube, this one is beautiful! Such a sweet footprint :)
A reminder of that 70 gallon cube:

All I have to say, is the Bananas are going bad, :face-with-tears-of-joy:

Oh another cool Perry build. I like how you cut the plastic tank for a sump??

Glad the tank transfer went well!!!

Looks fantastic! Everything looks very healthy and vibrant. Great job.
