How are you liking the TM trace Perry?

Tim,
So far, I am diggin it, super easy to dispense, straight forward, and colors jumping! I am thinking trace is far more important than originally thought, so much, that if depleted, may just cause nutrient lock out, this could perhaps interrupt the micro-biome and facilitate the establishment of negative bacteria strains. In this scenario, perhaps we see problematic algaes, bacteria, and viruses, which are normally chalked up to nutrient instabilities. Yes, and no, probably a lock out scenario, where the micro-biome cannot process nutrients and make them available for uptake by the photosynthetic aspects of the coral. More to come :)

My tank is finally hitting a bit of a stride and I may dabble as well. Bought everything for an iodine test kit to start with. Just don’t want to take a step back by going too hard on it!

Perry - You helped me on another thread on the use of AF. Thank you for that! I am trying to dial it in now and have some questions. I found some old articles, I believe from when you worked with them, on RC. Do you have any links to threads to ask questions on the probiotic method? I don't want to hijack your build thread...

Do a search in the sponsor section, tons of old threads, just go a few pages back, right here on r2r. You can ask here, I don't get worked up over that sort of stuff, so, shoot away ;)
All the best my friend!

2024 is here, and the time to Cherry pick the system, remove colonies, thin the heard, and empty prop tank in reef room is now! That in mind, I now have a smoothie dominant display with a centerpiece bommie, and wrapped with sand ;) The prop tank also has sand, as well as all the live rock in my sump. The mangrove lagoon meets the smooth bommie. So for now, the mangrove lagoon on hold and running cryptic. In the spring I will source mangroves and plant :)
More to come...
