I love photography, what gear should I look into as a total beginner?
I started with one of the DSLR multi lens kits from BH photo. That was a long time ago. There are some options that didn't exist then like mirrorless.

I just got A full frame DSLR and a couple of lens. I signed up for a year of Geek Squad at B.B. which gives me a year of one on one photography class's once a week. I asked the lady that is my instructor what her credentials were? She said "I have a degree in photography". Boom, check that box. LOL On week 2. Lots to learn! :cool:
