I found this BTA at Petco today. Seemed pretty bland at first, but I noticed the tips and base were very interesting. Then I noticed the pattern on the tentacles. I decided to take it home and see if it grew into something interesting.

As soon as I got it under some decent lighting I was glad I took the chance. This BTA is worth every penny already! I can't wait to see it when it gets bigger.

“Worth every penny already”… how many pennies did you pay? (Lol)
Well I tried to tell them it was a bubble tip, but they were sure it was a condylactis because of the pink base, white tentacles, and purple tips if that tells you anything.

Have you ever asked them to order some ?
The Petcos in my area will usually show their ‘wholesaler availability’ lists to anyone. (There is no pricing on the lists) , 1 store has the list hanging by the tanks for everyone to check out. They don’t require a deposit or commitment to buy,
When possible, I like to get the livestock the day it’s delivered. BEFORE it goes into their tanks.

i didnt know they did orders? do any of you have the list
The lists change every week, some weeks there are lists from 4 or 5 different wholesalers. The Petcos with the larger SW selection and a frag tank, usually have a manager that wants to build up his fish sales, so speak with him (not to the kid that nets out the feeder fish)

Nice!!! They got some ORA Aquaculturd Variegated Pincushion Urchins recently, and they were only like 10ish dollars! Amazing price for a captive bred urchin!
It’s also cool that they have a lot of captive bred fish such as dottybacks, striped blennys, and cleaner gobies.

I rip off Petco on their stuff at least once a month because they don't know what they have. Great find.
