I got hermits from them but they were aggressive hermits and attacked each other.

Each Petco store is different and only as good as the person running their SW system. Some are great, some are terrible. One thing though is that a few years ago Petco started the "go blue" initiative in their stores meaning that they won't use any chemicals or heavy metals so they are no longer allowed to treat with copper per company policy. They acquire their SW fish from the wholesalers like every other LFS does, so you're almost guaranteed to get ich now from Petco fish unless you either get very lucky or a knowledgeable hobbyist is running the show and breaking protocol to keep their fish alive with chemical treatment, which is what I would do.
