I wanted to share one of my favorite LPS piece in my tank right now. I came upon the piece form a wild browned out colony. At the time I thought it had potential because it had a pink rim even though the rest of it was poop color. Long story short, the entire colony RTN overnight in my system and I was able to save one edge. It did nothing special for over 7 months and started coloring up after I figured out it liked being in shade. That's right... not low light on my sandbed like the rest of my rainbows, but shade. It's not for sale at the moment, because I haven't gotten much growth out of it. You can see where the original cut was when I tried to save it.

I named it rainbow shower because unlike other Rainbows, this one has tiny white dust all over it.

Beautiful! ;Jawdrop
Glad you enjoyed it. Encourages me to post more shots.
Dibs on a frag! What lighting are you using?
Lol. Will do. This is under just plain jane chinese leds. But its below eggcrate and frags in solid shade. Just the reflection of the glass is lighting it.

Looking back to your reefing roots: Did you start with Instant Ocean salt?
