Ok to add to the possible monti eating nudibranches, for the last week i have not been able to stabalize my Ph and alk. Ive been using this A and B BIonic for a bout a month and have been having problems.

I went by the directions on the back but that made my alk shoot through the roof and my calc stay a lil low. So i changed it, less alk and more calc. The guys at the store said a lot of people have issues and need to make their own regiment that fits there tank.

Now when i wake up in the morning my Ph is 7.8 and my alk is around 5 i think. In the afternoon its about the same. So i stopped adding calc and alk and have just begun adding Reef Buffer. I tested and my Ph was around 8.3 and alk was blue 7 area. Now i woke up today tested in the morning and by Ph is brown again 7.8 and alk is yellow 5. Not sure to add more buffer or what to do.

Anyone got any suggestions to stabalize it. My corals are doing awesome, growing, and bright colors....

A natural drop in pH is normal overnight. My 300 goes from 8.2 to 8.1 overnight. I had to place my skimmer air inlets outside to pull in fresh air as my tank is down in the basement and CO2 was collecting down there, making my pH drop.

I was unable to stabilize the chemistry of my 150 stony coral reef with two-part. A parastaltic pump/doser probably would have increased my chances of success with this method. However, I chose a dual-chamber Ca Reactor instead. It took about six to eight months to dial it in, but for the most part the tank has taken off since then.

Thanks everyone ill look into everything.

I test my mag, calc, alk, everything. Perfect score on everything including magnesium except for Ph and alkalinity.

My LFS has a one part system i might try, not sure of the brand but they say its great. Its some bottled calcium carbonate out of a calcium reactor or something... gotta look into it more.

If you're speaking of Kent Liquid Reactor it and the claims of what it does are nonsense.
