Looking for a PH controller since I'm using a hydor ATO unit and wanted to mix kalk with my ATO water. I'm afraid with the hydor there is too much time between refills because of the way the sensor works and feel like I could easily spike my PH and come home to a disaster. Any recommendations? I just want to be able to set it and forget it to turn the ATO off if the PH hits like 8.5 or something. Not looking for the cheapest but I don't need the Louis Vuitton version either. :D

Edit: Can a mod move this to the controller section? I didnt realize there was a separate section for this stuff.

I have the hydor ato, when I purchased the Apex I decided to use it to be my ato. I don't know about other controllers but an apex could easily notify you or cut off an outlet if ph was high. I prefer having max run times set which is the advantage of using apex for my ato.

I don't know how what ATO does with power cycling but I used a digital timer on my avast ATO that had kalk in the reservoir, I had it set to run 2 min every half hour all day long.

I would love an Apex but its too expensive for me. I'm just looking for recommendations on a controller that will specifically turn off my ATO if the PH gets too high so i can put the kalk in my reservoir without fear of spiking my PH in case my ATO gets stuck on due to salt creep or some other factor.
