PH probe for calcium reactor

Consider going with a calc reactor for my new build. I don’t have any sort of automation and don’t really have a desire for it, is it possible to effectively run a calcium reactor without a PH probe? I know it’s doable but is it better with, or can get the same performance without?

Of course it’s better with, there is a reason why everyone runs it with one.

That being said, once you can dial down the amount of effluence you need, as well as the amount of air drops you need for that, you can technically get by without one with manual testing regularly

Look at the industrial ones that scientists use they’re the best ones. I do believe aperture uses these just with a different price tag so if you’re looking for best hobby equipment with a ph probe that’s probably it. Even though I’m not a fan of their controllers they do have the best ph probe. I think another hobby company uses them too. I forget which one.
