What power head would you recommend for this tank? I have some jebao RW 20 and pp15 at the moment I had planned to use along with gyre 130 but am rethinking that and may spend more money on something better. Thanks

It can work if you place them and program them correctly it is a rather long tank so you might find yourself buying another power head or so... maybe two gyres or two MP 40s with your jebao pumps would work... I would put the jebao pumps on the back glass and two good strong pumps on the side.

This is a peninsula tank by the way, I forgot to add that. I will post pics later today or tomorrow.

@iiluisii runs a nice Vortech config you can check out.

I would consider instead a pair or more of Tunze's Turbelle® stream 3's.

Depending on your rock config, you might opt to have one or more of them mounted in a Stream 3 Rock and hidden in, on or next to your stack of rocks.

Since they can be mounted and aimed just about anywhere, including the bottom glass of the tank, you might not need the rock at all – just place them out of view. But the rocks might be useful since you only have 16" of depth to work with.

Another option to use with or without the Stream 3's is a classic set of Turbelle® stream 6105's.

You can use the wide- or narrow-flow nozzle, whichever makes sense for each pump, and they have tons of power.

And this video:

Maybe these would be good too:

2 Tunze® Turbelle® Stream3 creating a wave and a directional current

Will follow up with a few placement ideas....

Of course there are unlimited possibilities.....knowing what your rock plan is would narrow things down considerably! :)

But here are a few ideas!

Rockwork is in the process. I have a few structures made, but plan several smaller islands. Plan SPS heavy but mixed.

The regular 6105 would be out since they are pretty much off and on. I want something I can control. I have an apex controller

Well I called BRS and marine depot asking for recommendations , they both recommended the gyre 250 for the tank. The dimensions are unusual but it is the length of the couch. LOL Now to get this build going again. I will post up more in the build thread soon. Got floor supports decided and will be installing soon.. Thanks guys
