I thought I saw this addressed somewhere before, but if so I can't find it now...

Can someone tell me the approximate flow characteristics (e.g. cone length and diameter) of the various Streams and Nanostreams?

Specifically today I'm interested in:
6015
6025
6065
6085
6125

But I'll be interested in most of the rest later too...so if you wanna just make a complete list... :)

Thanks in advance!

I know you don't have this model up but I just got 2 stream 6105 and at 100% I can't keep my sand in the middle of my 8x3x2' tank. Once I get the cable for the apex vdm ill set them to ramp up and down to hopefully help with this. Very impressed thus far.

Hi Matt,

Here are some rough approximations of the flow patterns for our Stream and Nanostream powerheads. The first number is the distance (length) it will reach. The second number is the diameter of the flow towards the end of the stream (keeping in mind the diameter increases the further from the pump you measure). All numbers are in feet.

Nanostream
6015 2 x 1.5
6025 2.5 x 1.5
6045 3 x 1.5
6055 4 x 1.5
6095 3 x 3

Stream 2
6065 4 x 2
6085 5 x 2
6125 4.5-5 x 3
6105 7 x 2 (configured for narrow-flow)
6105
4.5-5 x 3 (configured for wide-flow)
6155 6 x 3
6255 7 x 3.5

No question 6105's have got a lot of power. More than the flow numbers indicate IMO.

Are you running both at once? 8' is a lotta tank! :)

Yes right now they are at full blast with the wide flow adapters. I am waiting for my apex cables to come in to switch up the flow some. Hope it works. I am really glad I didn't go with a bigger pump at this point. This seems to be pretty much perfect I just need to figure out a way to keep my sand in the middle. Probably will just point them up a little more.

Have you had a chance to try the narrow nozzle and/or the other jumpers for the transformer? How did you like them?

I'm sure it will be a whole new ball game when you hook them up to a controller too. :)
