Extremely nice build.... good on you.

Thank you very much.

And diatoms are in bloom. I saw this coming with the new sand but I hoped it wouldn't. I hate em so much. Oh well might as well get it over with. Tukas are still eating like champs, maybe Ill get some baby brine hatched for them this weekend.

Looks fantastic Brett.
I can't remember, Did you build a top for it so you can get more wrasses down the road?
Like a nice Earl's pair.

Thanks Brad, I wouldn't have it any other way. Its a shame people still lose fish to jumping, its so easy to make a top. That Earls pair is so tempting but its a little pricey for me at this point, but its great to see them available more and more. Hopefully in the future I can pull the trigger but until then theres a lot of beautiful wrasses and other fish I would love to have. The list goes on and on.

The PQ's started eating mysis today and are more and more aggressive twords their food everyday. The two females are kinda starting to fight a little so Ill have to keep an eye on them. Im gonna start a prazi treatment and after that if their still eating like they are today I may move them into the display. We'll see.

Good news thus far on the tuka anthias ! Hopefully they aren't showing signs of disease ? Are you administering the prazi in the water column or added to the food ? How long are you going to QT them ?

No signs of disease, just precautionary. The prazi is in the water column. QT duration will just be when I get brave enough. I just gotta feel they will be OK with tank mates. They eat pretty good now but I think they could be a little better. They are really starting to associate me with food which I feel is very important.

New guy out of QT. This is probably my new favorite in the tank.

The Purple Queen Anthias trio have been released into the display for a few days now. I bought some .5ml new life spectrum pellets and they have takin a few bites so Im hoping they will eat them more and more in time which would make keeping them fat easier. I continue to feed live and frozen baby brine too. From the minute they went into the display there has been no issues with aggression so hopefully they can stand the test of time.

Tanks lookes great. Love the new fish. You have selected a nice variety and colors. Seems like you can almost call what fish your going to see in most tanks.

Nice work on the qt and acclimation! Didn't you get another scrappy little fish the other day? :)

Thanks bige. I try to mix them up and so far Ive been lucky with little aggression.

You mean this one. I gave her a short stay in QT but let her go a couple days ago. There have been little problems with aggression with her but my Pseudanthias pleurotaenia (square Anthias) went on a hunger strike since the introduction. Its been two days now and she used to be my best eater. I hope she comes around soon.

The Square Anthias didn't make it. She got really bloated and just quit eating. I added a Geo Kalk reactor but other than that not much to report.

Think I found the #1 fish on my list today. Hopefully Chelmon muelleri will be coming soon. Cross your fingers for me.
