Thanks!!
A bit surprised that it isn’t more clear on their homepage. Or perhaps I didn’t read it well enough :)
The guy I spoke with at Marine Depot also said the controller was needed.

Well the light went on when I plugged it in without a controller:)
I guess it’s all channels on 100% without the controller?

Well, four lights up and hopefully running on 100%. Just on/off works fine for us. Too bad they didn’t write more in detail on this on their homepage. Otherwise they look great :)

Any updates?
They work fine I think. It’s hard to say more then the corals are alive and growing when there’s no windows on this tank. Plus we combine them with a bunch of old Radions, since the tank is 100cm wide.

I did PAR tests on the bottom, from the centre of the lamp, out to the side of the tank. The coverage was okay, the intensity okay too. So not super strong but pretty good coverage I would say.

I saw them in a shop from a reseller ,my god I was happy that I choose the radion instead of this ,I was not fully happy with the radion, but they are much better than the Philips for sure in terms of colours from the corals.the colourS was terrible compared to the radions ,even when you put all blues. Maybe they have a good growth,I don't know, but the colourS ,forget it when your used in something much better.the reseller even think to take them off because the customers buy less since they look less beautiful.

Just wanted to share some information from a friend. I do not have these lights as I have a small nano. A buddy of mine does have them. Here are two pictures of sample growth under CoralCares and what he has to say in case you’re interested.

“CoralCares grow corals similar to Metal halide. The quality of light and how the light hits the coral from all sides has made them grow wider and tighter instead of branch like.”

I can't comment about growth, maybe it is good same other leds, but the look in the tank was not good at all.first i was thinking his settings was bad so why tried different settings but all looked not good for me. Maybe for someone not have good led befor, but if your used in better you will run in deception.I want my tank look nice if i had a good growth, but the corals looks nice only on pictures with filter, not for me .

I am in the process of moving corals and fish from a 135 lit by Orphek Atlantiks to a new 180 that will have 3 coral cares and 2 Orphek bars . One a blue plus and one what they call a UV bar. My intention is to run the CC's at 100% and get the blue that I want from the bars. Will be interesting to compare the two as they will be running simultainiously for a few weeks.
Did you the switch? If yes how are the results compared to the orphek?

No, I switched to ATI Stratons. I liked the look better and the much lighter weight. Was not real comfortable with all that weight above a very expensive setup. View them as very similar lights. Very very happy with the lights and bars together.
