Most reefers shoot for .05

Lps and softies can handle higher phos but .1 for newer tanks is good to shoot for.

How are you getting phos out?

found my elevated phos a few days ago. I adjusted my skimmer, lowered my feeds.
I have some gfo, and planning on setting up a reactor for it.

I also got my first big diatom bloom 2-3 days ago as well. Did a water change, and changed out my floss/filter/carbon.
Anything else besides trying to get phos down to treat the diatoms?
thx!

Not much else to do before you get phos to where you want it.

Once you do that then see how the diatom situation is and evaluate a treatment if the balance in nutrients don't fix it.

prob just the early stage uglies, I'd keep doing WC and let the tank mature. 0.23 PO4 is a bit high, I run mine (mostly softies) at 0.10 PO4 & NO3 around 5-10
