PhosGaurd inna sump?

I need to run some PhosGaurd via a bag in my sump. But I'm not sure where to put it. ATM I have it sitting on the bottom of the bubble trap area. But I don't think the flow is going through it as much as around it, it's a tight fit. Any suggestions? Thanks :)

No place to put one really. Plus it's an added expense I cannot afford ATM.
