Hi all. I keep getting an email from photobucket saying they no longer support 3rd party hosting. Since pretty much all of my pics on this site are from there does that mean I am going to lose all my pictures here unless I upgrade (which I won't do for 40bucks a month)? If this is the case is there a way I can convert all the pics so they aren't 3rd party?
Also can someone post the link as to how you get pics from the computer to this site.? I have tried it and it always says (if I recall correctly) that the size is too big and it wont support it. I sure don't want to go through and shrink down a ton of pics just to post. It seems to work fine off my phone but not off the computer. Any help would be appreciated.

Go to flickr, 300000000 times better and they do not degrade your image quality(plus a terabyte of free space) I'm amazed anyone still uses photobucket their service sucks! Nothing like holding someones pictures ransom till you pay lol

Flickr just added mobile uploads within the last couple months. I typically take photos on my DSLR, wifi transfer to my iphone and edit the photos on VSCO/Lightroom mobile. Photobucket was by far the easiest way to upload photos for a long time.

That is correct...R2R re-saves the pictures on their server....Thank you R2R. Now it's a different story with other forums...with my local club forum, all 2000 + photos I've posted are now being held hostage by PB.

I'm played with media a bit, and I have a couple things I'd love to see. It would be nice if when I upload an image > 2048 you could auto-resize. That would save me from having to go into lightroom and save as small. Which works, but adds an extra step. Also when using [GALLERY, media, etc] the image isn't that large, and I really just want a full screen image when I'm browsing pics without clicking on it, so I probably won't use it on my threads. I like that it links to the media and shows info, so I wish I could use it!

They've let you do that for at least the 3 years I've been using them it was just in beta I think. Fantastic site though

I haven't figured out how to do it on a mobile device yet, but on a PC, hit the share icon. Then click on the option across the top for the BB code, select your image size and copy and paste the code into your discussion thread.

If anyone knows how to do this on a mobile device, I'm all ears!
