Saw this gorgonian played for sale at $21 and thought it was absolutely beautiful. I can care for it regardless of whether or not it's photosynthetic but I'd like to know regardless in order to provide the best care. It's absolutely beautiful!

I think I'll probably get it...I feed a lot of small particulate foods and it's absolutely gorgeous!

Definitely Non-Photosynthetic, I can't ID the correct species but the bright pinkish-red with what looks like yellow polyps definitely signals to me that it is NPS

I really need to get it! It would add so much to my 20 gallon! For $21 I'd say it's worth it!
It might not like being in bright light and maybe happier in the sump? Do you have a dark place for it if it is averse to light?

No but my the tank I'd place it in isn't really high intensity light...only LPS mainly...
Can you get that little frag (toward the bottom right in 2 pictures), or is that another monster gorg?
I think a branch would be ideal to add and let it grow into the tanks currents.

I can ask but I doubt they'll sell anything except what they specifically advertise. Regardless of whether they can make money or not businesses here tend to be pretty bad with customer service...
