I got ambitious a couple months ago and thought if I grew my own pods and phyto I'd give dragonets a shot. With limited space and liking new things I purchased the pod and phyto kit from Poseidon Reef System. What's cool about it is that the culturing is disposable. The tanks/jars have built in lighting with dimmability and they come with culture bags allowing you to cultivate and then pull out bag and dispose creating zero mess. I used it once and it was great but then got busy and lost interest. I can keep and store this for a later date but I know me and I'll just end up selling it anyway. Again this is basically brand new. I have the original kit plus I added the air pump and an extra culture pack so I invested $200.

This is turnkey. Only need a starter phyto and copepod culture and you're good to go. $175 shipped, $165 picked up

Here's the link to the company:

There are also YouTube videos on it

Here's a pic. Hat not included :)

Great seller. He accidentally forgot to include the little bottles of fertilizer. Sent them to me right away after realizing. Thank you. I’m on my third batch of phyto already

Hi I’m interested in buying your setup
hat included please

I don’t understand what the caps you have.
the website poseidnreefsystems.com says I need the culture cap to begin growing Chaeto?

what are the caps you have with the blue tubes coming out and why do you have 2 jars?

when you say starter photo needed do you mean chaeto?
and what copepod culture do I need to buy and what do I need to buy to feed both of them?

you only show one pump, but it seems I would need 2 culture caps ( I’d purchase separately) and a 2nd pump to initiate growth of Chaeto in the first jar and copepod culture in the 2nd jar until established then I assume I use the caps in your photo?

call if you want, I’d prefer as I’m so new to this site and it’s hard for me to find posts.

thanks Jennifer

Saint I just see the air pump and not the power head pump that feeds circulates the water Thru each bottle.
how long does it take to grow Chaeto and copepods? And what did you use the Copepods for?
what kinda saltwater tank do you have and what do you keep in it?
