Howdy all, picked up this pretty sweet 90 gallon and was wondering who it's made by, any ideas? Appears to be Starfire glass to the best of my knowledge.

Longshot does this sump look DIY or manufactured as well?

Thanks in advance! Can't wait to get this setup over the next few weeks and get everything switched over from my non-drilled non-sump having 75

Yeah I was leaning toward the sump being DIY I don't like the drain being all couped up in that corner I'm thinking about cutting that cornered wall out

Looks like an early attempt that sumps have evolved from with the perfect router or cnc slotted grate system. Plug those up and add a adjustable baffle section piece before the bubble trap to control the skimmer depth. Knock out the corner out for dual drains and filter socks or a fleece nest would be nice. I have a axial flow combine, 2577, nice piece.

become a well known member?

I think it's based on likes??? I'm not sure, just appeared one day. Maybe a meaningful post count? I'm new to the internet, as I hate it. Have loved the hobby for the last 5 years, so better here than boring the people I know talking salt when they don't care? Used this site for confidence and research for years before i joined.

The adjustable baffle, turns out I have one it's not pictured I haven't put it back on after cleaning it all up.

Fleece nest I have not had any luck on a Google search, I've not searched r2r yet.

Lastly dual drains, my tank has only 1 drain, do you recommend I make a T and turn it into 2 drains?

I know what a combine is, I did have to look up your 2577 and I agree nice piece of equipment right there!

Last time I had a sump it was a 55g that I had some glass cut for bubble trap, 10+ years ago. I've seen the fancy new stuff and this one that came with the tank looked similar but couldn't imagine that couped up drain being desirable enough to be mass produced

Nice woodwork. I believe the sump may be a Vertex as they have a sock holder matching that very shape and angle.

If you have one drain pipe, that is a durso drain. Semi noisy but some things you can do to quiet it down. No big deal. Small return pump to the tank and use powerheads for flow in the display. A fleece or pad basket nest is like a filter sock, just easier as you throw the pad or fleece in the garbage instead of cleaning socks. The height adjusting gate helps to dial in your skimmer, keeping it in the zone as far as water depth. Any questions, lots of help on this site. Don't be afraid to ask and post pics so we can see it instead of trying to visualize what you're talking about.
