I always loved mine; I had it for 2-3 years in a 190 reef.

However, I couldn't understand why I could never seem to grow zoas in my tank until a friend got him who had a tank full of zoas. As soon as he got in his tank, he went right after the zoas picking them up on their plug and shaking them side to side like a puppy dog. Needless to say, he came out of his tank real fast!

I never saw mine nip anything, but he is the suspect in the demise of a few other corals also that seemed to just disappear (never messed with SPS). He was always well fed and fat, so he didn't do it because of hunger.

I would put one in my tank again, but I would also watch it very carefully!

Yes, I had no idea that it was doing that. It was the culprit that ate a couple of LE Zoas that Steve Tyree handed me.

Normally, I wouldn't think of them as a problem fish, but hey tangs have been caught nipping coral. You can probably get a coral nipper in many "reef safe" fish.
