Picked up this absolutely beauty today, did y’all get anything cool going into the weekend?

My LFS was trying to clear some room for a new shipment and I picked up this beautiful Galaxea for 50$

I looove watching it sway!

Galaxea are one of my favorites.

I picked up a mimic filefish on Wednesday. I haven't got any photos yet as he is still a little skittish.

Give it plenty of room. They have feeder tentacles that can go out like 6” and pack a powerful sting.

Pretty piece and nice size. they sting so keep it away at least 3" from other coral

They are as powerful as they are pretty. I’ve seen them reach out further than 3” too.

Yeah, they reach much farther than 3" unfortunately. Mine routinely went closer to 8".....which is why I got rid of him. The random flow would push those harpoons all over the place lol.

Yeah, this guy had a few of his tentacles out when we were at the fish shop and they’re super long so we gave it a nice little place of its own haha
