I use 2x sb extreme 32" supplemented by 2x white t5s for peak light hours. I've gotten excellent growth and like the look.

I have a new phone so no fts on here, but if you check my build in my signature, there's tons of pics

Thanks @Labridaedicted. Did you add the white T5’s as a supplement or for asthetic reasons? Did you find the sbreefs to not be strong enough or “too blue”? Will check out your build thread later when I get a break at work.

I’ve been running the 32” for over a year.

I have it on a 40b and it more light then the tank needs.

Honestly for my liking it’s not blue enough. Even with the blues on 100% and the whites on 10% the whites wash out the blues.

Tank doesn't look great because I’m fighting Dino’s for the last 6 months. Has nothing to do with the lights FYI.

Before that corals we’re looking great and growing well.

Thanks for the pics, very helpful. So now I don’t think one 32” will be sufficient for a 48” long tank. I think it would be better to get two 16” or 18”. Plus there is the black bracing piece that goes through the middle of the tank. What are the dimensions on your tank @Matt Carden?

Here’s a lot of older pics of mine and some results over a deep blue 80 shallow. I went with an 8bulb t5 and 2 led bars to replace for more spread and less shadow. Can remove the lenses to increase spread though if like.

Your pics were very helpful. I can see the shadows on the sides so I know I need two smaller lights vs the 32”. Is that a 48” long tank?
