Here is an LPS from years ago.

Hammer coral About 6 months after I got it. Clown and 1 1/2" hippo tang for reference.

a few years later, right before I pulled it from the tank because it was getting too big.

Outside of the tank, you can see the growth formation much better.

Here is a closeup of the side of the coral. You can see the tissue goes down the side of the skeleton about three inches.

Haha that is crazy right? It took me about 4 1/2 years to grow out that one. I had another coral, an acro table, that was grown from a frag that I pulled out at the same time.

Here is the frag of the table coral at about two months mark.

After fragging it many time it still grew to this monster in the tank.

And here it is out of the tank.

Both corals were picked up and donated to the Long Island Aquarium to be used in their 20,000 gallon display tank. Here they are being put into the display tank at the aquarium.

This is pretty impressive. Walls are especially hard to keep growing and happy.

I started out with a small single head frogspawn that grew to this monster
BTW from a single head of frogspawn to the 20+ heads it took me 8 years to achieve.
I had some slow growth in the first 2 years because I really didn't understand the importance of CA/Alk/Mg at the start of my reefing. I was lucky that my WC routine keeped things living. Unfortunately my work is relocating me across the country and I had to sell my corals last month, but I'll start reefing again when I get settled in my new home.
