High!! This will be where I share our ongoing progress with our journey into the wonderland of reef keeping!
I got into saltwater aquariums back in 1998 but being young I moved often and didn't get to properly devolve my passion which was to watch fish and reef systems grow over long periods of time as we were just too young and moving a lot so I gave up. Thankfully a few years ago we were able to purchase our property and last summer I got back into the hobby and its currently pulsing thru my blood and causing major cases of happiness and childlike euphoria
When I got back into the hobby last year I setup a 30gallon Fluval M90 on September 1st... Within a few weeks before the 30gal tank had even cycled I realized I was hooked and ready to commit a good amount of my energy and life into this hobby so I talked the wife into allowing me to go balls deep and put a Red Sea Reefer 525XL into our bedroom. This got setup September 26th last year. In 3 days will be that tanks 1year anniversary!
In the past few months I have been building a fish room in my shop.. Its currently housing a 70gallon quarantine tank with a Biota Clown trigger, Humu trigger and a checkerboard wrasse. We are in the process of setting up a 3x6 ft. frag grow out tank and also a 400gallon peninsula fish only tank in the shops man gave where we can grow out sum big fatty meat eaters over the next decade. I've had 1000lbs of dry rock curing for around 45 days now so it will be ready to go when the 2 new systems come online!
Anyhow grate to be here back to webforums as social media plain sucks! Figured I should introduce myself and say hello instead of just linger.......
Im going to leave a hodge podge of photos of things and I will be updating the journey as it unfolds... Thanks, and happy reefing!
