Hey All!

I’ve been on the fence about getting a pincushion urchin or tuxedo. I’ve read pincushions demolish all algae, but get pretty big. And I’ve also read that some tuxedos shy away from hair algae (which I’m dealing with), but stay relatively small. If you had to choose what would you go with? Experiences with either one?

Thanks!

I tend to notice both eating all types of algae including hair algae in my tanks.

Pincushions on the other hand will demolish coraline algae while tuxedos will leave it be and go for softer algae.

I have 2 tuxedos in my 20g at home and they do a decent job on keeping the back glass clean. Snails keep rocks clean.
