I just noticed lots of white pieces floating in my tank, so I investigated and found this in my chaeto. Is this a pineapple sponge, and should I do anything about it or leave it be? Looks like a piece of it broke off and made it into the return pump. I've had the chaeto for a long time now, so I'm not sure where exactly it came from.

Cool, thanks for your replies! It's interesting, because I just installed a UV about 2 weeks ago, and I'm 100% sure the sponge wasn't there then. Wondering if that caused it.
