Had this guy about a month. Just noticed this this week.

Doesn’t seem to be bothering the coral, but I don’t like the looks of it...

Any thoughts on what it might be from?
Normal?
Should I be concerned?

Excuse my crappy cell phone close up...

Wow. Rude.
Its a small coral in the center of my tank, only so much I can do zomming in, i think the pinhole is pretty noticable.

But I’ll try to do better...

I would agree we will need a better picture, If it is an infection it could go downhill fast. I would advise a iodine dip, if its a brown jelly disease and iodine doesn't solve it I would advise a dip in peroxide or CoralRx.

Only thing I can see is what might be a vermatid snail or other calcerous tube worm like species growing in the front side. More of a bother than anything, if that is what you are referring to

Hmm the hole looks quite a bit “cleaner” than the photo in that link, but I wonder if that’s the culprit.

I didn’t see a solution in that article though..

I did a revive dip when I got the frag before putting it in.
Guess i’ll just keep an eye on it for now...
